It is the 1920s and radio is a brand new phenomenon. Hazel Hunt, the music teacher of Cedar Ridge, Arkansas, has a brand new Western Electric 500 watt radio transmitter and she is putting it to good use.

Every morning, Hazel and her friends gather to broadcast on their very own radio station, WGAL. They set toes a-tapping with their hilarious song stylings, punctuated by jingles from their only sponsor, a tonic that owes much of its kick to the still out back.

A rip-roaring, down-home musical from the creators of Pump Boys and Dinettes and Smoke on the Mountain.
